I would consider doing an online course or coaching session again for those who might be interested. Robert Todd is a bridge champion, teacher, author, and former math professor. His talks are notable for being accessible by new players, while having plenty of great stuff for experienced players as well. I never miss the opportunity to see him speak at a Nationals or regional tournament, and he's one of my mentors. The full day is $90, starting at 9:30. Bridge Basics 1 - Introduction, May 20 Share this one with your non-bridge playing friends, or make plans to revisit this wonderful "first course" of bridge. The course will meet on Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM starting May 20. We'll meet for six sessions, but skip May 27 (Memorial Day) and June 10 (Grand National Teams District Final). This is the course many of you took through PCC at Arcadia High School. it's still a PCC Extension class, but now we get to hold it at the beautiful Pasadena Bridge Club. Play of the Hand, May 24 This is a great course to follow the Bridge Basics series. Let's spend eight classes focused on planning and executing your plan when you're the declarer. The course meets for eight Wednesday evenings at 7:00, starting May 24. Your seating position relative to the dealer, vulnerability, and other factors will change how you evaluate your hand. As with all of the Better Bridge courses, you will also be introduced to play of the hand and defense techniques that you may not have seen before! The typical reaction from students of this course is that it exceeds all expectations. It's highly recommended for all regular club and aspiring tournament players.
